Telecom Competition Code

To ensure the smooth transition between the Code of Practice for Competition in the Provision of Telecommunication Services 2005 (Code 2005), the Code 2010 and the Code 2012, IDA has drafted the necessary transitional provisions within the Code 2012. View Telecom Competition Code .

Postal Codes of Practice and Notifications

Part IVA of the Act sets out the basic legal framework for IDA to regulate parties who acquire control over designated postal licensees. Section 26H(1) of Part IVA of the Act provides that IDA may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations to carry out the purposes of that Part. The Code of Practice defines the exemplary wiring workmanship and practices which the licensed telecommunication wiring contractors and installers are required to comply with. Infocomm Facilities in Building COPIF

On 21 Aug 2008, IDA released the COPIF 2008 and the accompanying Guidelines For Info-communications Facilities in Buildings. The COPIF 2008 and the Guidelines will come into effect on 15 Sept 2008 and replace the existing COPIF 2000 and its addendum.
