What are IDA's efforts behind IPv6 transition in Singapore ?

IPv6 Transition Programme is a national effort spearheaded by IDA to address the issue of IPv4 exhaustion and to facilitate the smooth transition of the Singapore Infocomm ecosystem to IPv6. The programme also promotes readiness and adoption of IPv6 in the local industry through a series of projects.

As IPv6 is the candidate as the next-generation Internet protocol to replace IPv4, it is therefore important for Singapore to welcome the next era of Internet services and create a platform to grow innovations and business opportunities.

As the main driving force behind this programme, we hope to create an environment suitable for industry players to embrace IPv6 with benefits in mind, whether it is in the view of cost-reduction or revenue stream.
