5) Use a good anti-spyware tool

6) Avoid computer-to-computer wireless networking and never connect to unknown wireless networks

Always disable ad-hoc networking to prevent attackers from easily gaining access to information on your computer. You should also disable the auto-connect feature in your wireless settings to protect yourself from sending information through rouge access points. 7) Be vigilant against phishing scams
