Productivity Shared Services & Resources

In the process of driving efficiency and transformation in their businesses, iLEs are faced with various challenges, ranging from lack of awareness and expertise in related areas, to inaccessibility of tools and resources. To help iLEs overcome these challenges and accelerate their productivity-improvement processes, IDA has launched the following initiatives:

Productivity & Productisation Programme Office (PPPO)

The Productivity & Productisation Programme Office (PPPO) was set up by the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), with the support of IDA, to provide iLEs with access to cost-effective shared resources such as productivity tools, as well as professional advisory services. The following services are provided by the PPPO:

  • Advisory & Resource Matching Services : iLEs can contact the PPPO to seek assistance on topics such as productivity-improvement initiatives, advice and best practices, software tools, shared services and various government assistance schemes available which they can tap on to accelerate their product development or go-to-market.
  • Awareness, Outreach and Education : iLEs can gain insights on productivity-improvement best practices and methodologies by sending their employees to attend various masterclasses and workshops to get the latest updates on productisation and productivity-related topics from subject-matter-experts, as well as through participating in PPPO's various awareness programs.
  • Shared Service Aggregation : Through aggregation of demand for productivity tools and services, iLEs can potentially gain access to such resources more cost-effectively.

The Portal

SITF PPPO has set up a shared services portal (The Portal) that serves as a one-stop online platform for iLEs to easily access various productivity-related resources and assistance. The following are some of the offerings on the portal:

  • Resource Centre : The Resource Centre serves as a central knowledge repository on productivity-related topics for the ICT sector. Types of information available include:
    • Productivity assessment tools & diagnostics kits
    • Best practices and case studies
    • Productivity methodologies and frameworks
    • Information on available productivity assistance
  • Demand Aggregation of Products and Services : The Portal provides a platform for iLEs to aggregate their needs for specialised productivity tools and services, so that they are collectively better placed to obtain leverage on bulk orders and enjoy economies of scale.
  • Community & Forums : This is to facilitate collaboration and partnerships amongst the local ICT community and allowing companies to discuss partnership opportunities. iLEs can also make use of the forums to exchange and share knowledge and experiences on productivity-related topics . Subject-matter-experts would also be invited to join and enrich the interactions in the online community.
