Infocomm Local Industry Upgrading Programme (iLIUP)
Overview
The nature of business success in the Infocomm industry is a shifting target. Spotting untapped opportunities in the market is no longer sufficient. In today's environment, strong partnerships with large, established industry players is the key that Infocomm local enterprises (iLEs) need in order to secure a foothold on the local, regional and global Infocomm landscape. Conversely, by partnering with smaller local Infocomm enterprises, established players can leverage the local knowledge and innovations to extend the adoption and pervasiveness of their technology platforms.
To meet this need, IDA introduced the Infocomm Local Industry Upgrading Programme (iLIUP). It promotes strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships between Singapore's iLEs and Infocomm multinational corporations (MNCs). iLIUP goes beyond simple matchmaking and focuses on forging a strong bond between the partnering enterprises and capitalising on the strengths of each party to bring about greater synergy and results.
In the spirit of win-win collaboration, iLIUP's underlying principle is the fostering of partnerships that result in enhancing local Infocomm capability and competitiveness, and translating this into increased market share and revenue for MNC partners. For each MNC partner, iLIUP supports a dedicated manager to develop partnerships with local Infocomm enterprises and ensure their success.
