IDA is partnering with the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) and Exploit Technologies Pte Ltd (ETPL), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) in bringing I2R's intellectual properties (IPs) to a deployable state which will help the companies enhance their existing competitive edge or develop new businesses.
Taking advantage of this call, companies can develop cloud computing solutions based on the IPs made available by these institutions through a short-term no-fee evaluation licence. This arrangement further gives companies an option to take on a commercial licence if their trial deployment proves to be successful and of value. The available IPs can be found from
I2R
,
ETPL
,
NTU
and
NUS
.
An interested company needs to first apply directly to the respective technology transfer office / commercialisation division to evaluate a specific IP. Upon the approval of an evaluation license by ETPL, a Call 6 project proposal to trial or testbed the IP must be submitted to IDA.
Proposal Submission
Depending on the impact and scope of the project, selected projects will be supported in terms of utilized compute and storage resources based on the approved duration and quantum of cloud services (compute core-hours and storage GB-months) from one of the participating Cloud Service Providers. Co-payment support will be given to selected industry projects, i.e., 50% support will be provided, while the remaining 50% is to be paid by the successful applicant at the prevailing compute and storage resources rates.
