Multi-Tier Cloud Security (MTCS) Certification Scheme
Introduction
The Multi-Tier Cloud Security (MTCS) Singapore standard is developed under Information Technology Standards Committee (ITSC) for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) in Singapore.
Objectives
-
To encourage adoption of sound risk management and security practices by CSPs through certification; and
-
To promote adoption of MTCS standard.
Scope
-
3 different tiers of security certification & further qualified with types of services (e.g. Infrastructure-as-a-Service); and
-
Certification will be valid for 3 years with a yearly surveillance audit to be conducted.
Preparation
-
CSPs shall source and identify suitable Certification Bodies (CBs) to undertake the certification (see enclosed list of participating CBs); and

CSPs shall work with the identified CBs to prepare the following documents after having decided on the scope of certification:

Statement of Applicability; and
