Improving Healthcare Quality and Efficiency Through Innovative Use of ICT

Ministry of Health IDA Singapore The Enterprise Challenge

The Ministry of Health (MOH), Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), and The Enterprise Challenge (TEC) are inviting the industry to participate in the Call-for-Collaboration (CFC) for the healthcare sector. This CFC aims to bring healthcare providers and the infocomm (ICT) companies together to develop and pilot innovative solutions and products so as to enhance healthcare quality and efficiency.

Objective of CFC

The CFC aims to encourage the ICT industry and the healthcare institutions to jointly develop viable innovative healthcare products and solutions that will improve healthcare quality and efficiency.

Scope of CFC

The scope of the CFC includes:

  1. Deliver safer care by enhancing medication safety, reducing healthcare associated infections, improving communication among healthcare practitioners during patient handovers and ensuring right site procedures (e.g. right implant and right patient).

  2. Enhance quality of care by providing care the patient needs according to best medical science and evidence available today (e.g. timely information to support decision making), improving the continuity of care and reducing reworks (e.g. readmission, repeat procedures, etc).

  3. Achieve greater efficiency in healthcare operations by facilitating re-engineering of workflows and simplification and standardisation of processes.
