Infocomm Leadership and Development Programme (iLEAD) Expanded
Introduction
Singapore's highly developed infocomm sector has been a key driver of Singapore's success as an economic hub. As technology is constantly evolving, maintaining a competitive edge for sustained growth remains a top priority for the country. With this objective in mind, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) developed the Infocomm Leadership and Development Programme (iLEAD) Expanded to nurture Singapore's next generation of infocomm experts. iLEAD Expanded provides infocomm professionals with the opportunity to sharpen their skills in niche technology areas:
Programme Description
iLEAD Expanded aims to ensure that Singapore's infocomm manpower capabilities keep pace with technology changes and Singapore remains at the forefront of technology development. iLEAD Expanded will help grow and groom infocomm leaders and experts in the following high-end, niche areas.

Professionals who are interested to participate in the iLEAD Expanded programme may wish to approach their organisation to apply as an iLEAD Partner.
Become an iLEAD Partner
Organisations can choose to partner IDA by providing on-the-job training to infocomm professionals or enrolling their employees, including new hires in iLEAD Expanded to further develop their skills through local and overseas work attachments and overseas professional development courses.
Become an iLEAD Centre of Attachment (COA)
Alternatively, eligible organisations can also choose to become an iLEAD
Centre of Attachment (COA)
. COAs are MNC Centres of Innovation (COIs), R&D Centres/ Research Institutes and academic institutions who will be able to offer attachment opportunities for project work and training and mentorship to infocomm professionals to equip them with high-end, "expert" level skills in the areas identified under iLEAD Expanded over a period of 1 - 12 months.

Programme Support
For iLEAD Partners
IDA together with the iLEAD Expanded partner will co-fund training to cover the following components:

All trainees on the programme will be required to serve a bond in their area of training either with the iLEAD Expanded partner or within the local infocomm industry for a specified period.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify as iLEAD Partner
iLEAD Partner must:

Develop a expert-level training plan in areas supported under iLEAD Expanded

Ensure that the trainees* under iLEAD Expanded must be:

Existing employees identified as high potential staff with talent progression plan or individuals who are diploma or degree holders;

With 3 years of relevant working experience; and

Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
*Companies must source for their own trainees.

o qualify as iLEAD COA
iLEAD COAs must possess:

Past manpower development track record of providing training/project work in the relevant areas

The necessary hardware, software, specialized facilities and connectivity required for training/ project work

Capacity to train minimum 4 trainees annually and provide at minimum 2 mentors/ trainers/ supervisors

Capability to develop training plan to include relevant project work opportunities for trainees to acquire skill sets/ technologies identified under iLEAD Expanded
