Sectoral Productivity Call-for-Collaboration

Objectives

The Sectoral Productivity Call-for-Collaboration (CFC) is a multi-agency effort led by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) to step up the collective adoption and innovative use of infocomm technology (ICT) by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), within their respective sectors. Supporting the National Productivity agenda, the CFC aims to raise the productivity of the identified sectors and enable them to transform and level up.

This CFC seeks to invite proposals that are able to deliver sector-wide impact through aggregating demand, integrating supply chains or strengthening cross-sector collaborations amongst enterprises with the use of ICT.

Multi-Agency Partnership

Together with SPRING Singapore (SPRING), Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), and Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), a total of $42 million has been provisioned to support proposals selected through this CFC.

The CFC is also supported by the Council for Private Education (CPE), Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), National Environment Agency (NEA), and National Parks Board (NParks).

The CFC has also received support from many trade associations including Association of Catering Professionals Singapore (ACAPS), Association of Singapore Attractions (ASA), Federation of Merchants Association Singapore (FMAS), Institute of Chinese Medical Studies (ICMS), Landscape Industry Association Singapore (LIAS), National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS),  Singapore Association For Private Education (SAPE), Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC), Singapore Dental Association (SDA), Singapore Jewellers Association (SJA),  Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS).

Potential Business Sectors

The industry is welcome to propose ICT solution for any business sector in response to this CFC, as long as the proposals are able to deliver the significant sector-wide impact required by the CFC.

Potential target sectors include but are not limited to the following: Attractions, Chemical, Cleaning, Dental, Early Childhood, Food & Beverage, Hotel, Jewellers, Landscaping, Precision Engineering, Private Education, Retail, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Travel and Waste Management Industry.

Selection Criteria

Projects must demonstrate the capability to address key gaps within the named sector; increase SME productivity by at least 20% in their core business processes; and lead to pervasive adoption over the next 3 years. They must also have a minimum of at least 10 SMEs who have indicated interest in the project.

Public Briefing and Networking Event

Enterprises, ICT vendors, trade associations and educational institutions are invited to attend the "Sectoral Productivity CFC" Public Briefing and Networking Session.

22 August 2013 (Thursday)
10:00am - 2:00pm or 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Venue will be advised via email upon acknowledgement of registration
Deadline for registration: 21 August 2013, 12 noon

Networking & ICT Showcase:

10 September 2013 (Tuesday)
9:00am – 5:00pm
Venue will be advised via email upon acknowledgement of registration
Deadline for registration: 8 September 2013, 12 noon

The Public Briefing will be conducted by IDA and will cover the details of the CFC, including the expectations of the Proposals. Interested parties could also find out more about the requirements from sector champions and network with each other to seek partnerships at the CFC Networking & ICT Showcase.

Proposal Submission

Two (2) hardcopies and one (1) softcopy (in a CD-ROM) of the Proposal should reach IDA no later than 14 October 2013 (Monday) at 6:00pm .  All Proposals must be clearly marked, and addressed to:

Proposals may also be submitted in person at the IDA reception desk on the 10th floor of Mapletree Business City.

IDA reserves the right not to accept late submissions.
