M-Government

Mobile Government (mGov) is part of the eGov2015 masterplan launched in June 2011, to increase the reach and richness of government e-services to our customers by deploying more feature-rich and innovative mobile services.

Some of the 300 mobile services offered today include:

  • Receiving SMS alerts for road tax and passport renewals and crimes occurring in the neighbourhood;

  • Booking of IPPT and notifying MINDEF of overseas trips for NSmen;

  • Notification of examination results for polytechnic students;

  • Checking COE prices, finding out the latest traffic conditions and enquiring COE/PARF rebates and road tax payable for motorists; and
