Code of Practice for Info-communication Facilities in Buildings

The purpose of the Code of Practice for Info-communication Facilities in Buildings (COPIF) is to ensure that developers and/or owners of buildings and developments provide adequate space and facilities for the deployment and operation of installation and plant; these are equipment used for providing info-communication services to the buildings. The COPIF also specifies the duties to be observed by developers, building/development owners and telecommunication licensees in relation to the provision, maintenance and utilisation of the relevant space and facilities provided, as directed under COPIF. Since its inception on 1 April 2000, the COPIF has been reviewed and revised when appropriate, to ensure its continued relevance in light of the evolving requirements for info-communication facilities. The latest COPIF 2013 and COPIF Guidelines will come into effect on 1 May 2013.
