Introduction

IDA has identified Data and Analytics, as a strategic focus area, and aims to develop Singapore as an International Data and Analytics hub. We are taking an integrated approach to develop Singapore as an international hub for Data and Analytics, and aim to do so by driving early adoption in sectors ready for Data and Analytics, developing Singapore’s industry and manpower capabilities in this field and establishing trusted, scalable platforms and enablers.

Objectives

The Business Analytics (BA) Innovation Challenge is a competition platform where enterprise users leverage an online system & offline industry networking sessions to crowd source BA ideas, develop prototypes for piloting and potentially developing innovative analytics products or solutions to solve real-life industry problems in collaboration with data scientists, Institutes of Higher Learning (i.e. Universities and Polytechnics), Research Institutions, technology players and solution providers.

The BA Innovation Challenge Industry Briefing 2012 offers opportunities for the business analytics ecosystem to collaborate and co-create BA innovations to propel Singapore as an international hub for Data and Analytics.

Submission

Submissions should be made in two hardcopy and one softcopy (in a CD-ROM) of the Proposal should reach IDA no later than 18 January 2013 at 1700hrs.  All Proposals must be clearly marked as “Business Analytics Innovation Challenge Call For Proposals”, and addressed to: Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore,10 Pasir Panjang Road #10-00 Mapletree Business City Singapore 117438.
