INFOCOMM INVESTMENTS PTE LTD

Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd (IIPL) invests alongside leading venture capitalists in growth-stage infocomm enterprises and helps startups around the world expand to Asian markets by leveraging Singapore’s top-class business infrastructure.

Through its work, it aims to build up a vibrant pool of technology entrepreneurs and startups in Singapore. In FY2010, four new investments were made and more than 50 global venturebacked infocomm startups have committed to establishing their engineering centres in Singapore, including startups from the US, UK, Europe, Israel and Asia Pacific. These startups belong to diverse infocomm segments including social networking, cloud computing, mobile application development and enterprise solution development.

Since 2008, more than 60 global venture-backed technology start-ups have set up engineering operations here. These include companies such as VivoTech from USA and 24 MAS from Sweden. These companies have been innovating and contributing to the growth of various technology sectors such as cloud computing, mobile platforms and gaming. The companies are estimated to trigger US$120 million in project spending and create employment for more than 400 engineers over the next two years. The key aim is to make Singapore a hub for innovative technology start-ups to launch into Asia.
