With social media making huge inroads into businesses, Fetch Plus is leveraging this trend by building applications that will maximise the potential of this dynamic paradigm for collaboration and customer engagement.
Established in 2010 with its global headquarters in Singapore, Fetch Plus is a social media and mobile application company that specialises in building scalable social media and mobile applications for companies in a wide variety of industries and geographic markets.
Armed with a background in marketing and public relations, Ms Carmen Benitez, the company’s President and Managing Director, realised that there was a lack of tools that could help companies utilise social media effectively to market to their target customers.
“We develop social media and mobile apps suited to quickly and efficiently bring all local constituents onto the same social media platform thereby allowing parent companies the opportunity to maintain brand integrity while maximising customer reach, acquisition and retention of its constituents,” she said.
This involves integrating popular sites like Facebook and Twitter into an organisation’s online presence. For example, one of its newest products, Fetch Fans, was developed to allow companies to incorporate their own designs and identity onto these platforms.
Fetch Plus chose Singapore to house its head office because of the excellent infrastructure and support programmes available. “The ease of doing business from a transportation and corporate tax rate standpoint, as well as the drive for excellence in innovation in emerging technology is what intrigued me about Singapore,” Ms Benitez said.
“In addition, we received great support from the Infocomm Development Authority and a number of other public agencies such as SPRING Singapore,” she continued. “They are helping to connect us with potential strategic partners and to understand the type of financial assistance packages available to help grow our operations.”
According to Ms Benitez, being a Singapore company is a significant benefit when it comes to doing business. “Having the exposure and opportunity to be considered a preeminent Singapore company for innovation has helped us leverage our strength and credibility in this market and those abroad,” she said.
Although only a year old, Fetch Plus expects to grow at a rapid clip. “In terms of business strategy, we want to continue rolling out our products - including our newest social media application - to a broad range of industries and geographic markets to maximise value for our customers and shareholders,” Ms Benitez said. “We plan to expand selectively into industries we know well like multifamily housing, real estate, hospitality, health and leisure with a focus on Asia Pacific region.”
Acquisitions are not out of the question as well. “Apart from entering identified industries in targeted geographic markets, our strategic growth strategy includes the acquisition of key companies that compliment our overall social media and mobile application efforts,” said Ms Benitez.
